Privacy Notice.
What AVO collects, what we don't, and why. This notice covers both the AVO platform (getavo.ai) and the AVO Pixel when activated on partner domains.

What AVO is
AVO is an AI visibility measurement platform operated by Avonetiq. We measure whether AI platforms (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini, Google AI Overviews, DeepSeek) cite, mention, or recommend our customers' brands, and we provide intelligence and content production tooling on top of those measurements.
The platform (getavo.ai and the AVO product)
What we collect
- Account information: name, work email, company, role, primary domain — collected when you register interest in Early Access or sign up for the platform.
- Usage data: pages viewed, features used, support requests — collected through standard analytics and product instrumentation.
- Domain measurement data: public information about the domains you ask AVO to measure. We do not collect or store user data from your visitors via the platform itself.
What we do not collect
- End-user data from your visitors (the platform side does not track your visitors at all).
- Personal data beyond what you provide voluntarily.
- Tracking pixels or cookies from third-party advertising networks.
How we use what we collect
- To operate the platform and deliver measurements, intelligence, and content for the domains you ask us to measure.
- To improve AVO over time — measurements and outcomes are aggregated anonymously into network intelligence that benefits all customers.
- To communicate with you about your account, updates, and important changes.
The AVO Pixel
What it does
AVO Pixel is an optional tracking pixel deployed on customer domains. It activates only for AI-related traffic (visitors arriving from AI platforms, or AI bot crawlers). For all other traffic, AVO Pixel does nothing — silent, no tracking, no data collection.
What it collects (for AI-related traffic only)
- AI platform referrer string (e.g. "Perplexity", "ChatGPT").
- Landing page URL (path only — no query parameters stored).
- Page hostname (for validation).
- Session UUID (random, non-persistent, dies on tab close).
- Conversion event type and value, if the customer fires avo('convert').
- AI bot User-Agent string (CNAME mode only).
What AVO Pixel does not collect
- No cookies — session state lives in sessionStorage only.
- No IP addresses are stored.
- No browser fingerprinting.
- No cross-site tracking.
- No PII of any kind.
- No tracking of non-AI sessions.
Regulatory position
AVO Pixel collects no personal data as defined under GDPR, PDPA (Thailand), APPI (Japan), or PIPL (China). Session UUIDs are random, non-persistent, and cannot identify a natural person. Customers are responsible for ensuring their use of the Pixel complies with applicable privacy regulations in their jurisdictions.
Data retention
- Raw pixel events: 90 days, then partition dropped.
- Aggregated daily pixel data: 24 months.
- Account information: retained for the lifetime of your account, deleted on request.
- Network intelligence (anonymised aggregates): indefinite.
